Every
day people need to find the right information at the right time
to solve an immediate problem. Taxonomies address this need by providing
a structure for classifying and locating information.
The Taxonomy Guide is an online resource and learning tool about
why and how to build and implement a taxonomy for an intranet or for enterprise content management. This
resource has five modules beginning with an introduction to concepts
and working through classification techniques, software tools, design
stages, implementation considerations, and the planning process.
This is described more fully in the Overview.
These modules and their sub-sections are themselves a taxonomy
which you can use to navigate the content. The top menubar will
be your main point of access to the modules. The left panel shows
the Table of Contents for the module being viewed.
Help has more about navigation. There is also a Sitemap.
